Jordin Sparks didn't need an over-the-top sequined gown to shine at the Sparkle premiere in NYC Tuesday.

Instead, the film's star, 22, donned a minimalist, red peplum sheath (with matching patent leather stilettos) which showed off her incredible 50-pound weight loss.

At the Teen Choice Awards last month, Sparks opened up to Us Weekly about the key to her jaw-dropping body makeover, which she first debuted last spring.

"There is no secret," the Season Five American Idol champ shared. "It's just better eating and working out! It's definitely a daily thing."

One of her favorite ways to stay active? High-energy dance classes like Zumba.

"My mom's best friend is a Zumba instructor and I loved it," she gushed. "I started with walking then went to jogging and then Zumba." In addition to her cardio-heavy classes, "I started [working with a trainer] and we did 30 minutes of circuit training," Sparks says. "So I didn't feel like I needed to be in the gym for two hours."

Sparks' lifestyle changes have paid off big time -- this summer, the pop star landed the August cover of Shape, where she flaunted her slimdown in a barely-there bikini.

"I could only dream of having a cover and looking like that," she told Us. "I thought, 'I did it!' I had to walk back to my dressing room and . . . pull myself together because I was overwhelmed. I cried. I shed a little tear."

The 6-foot-3 pro was traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets in March, eliciting mixed reactions from the sports community. Though it's too early to predict how Tebow will perform, he hopes fans will give him a fair shot.

"I think if they're a Jets fan, hopefully they'll be rooting for me. I'll do whatever I can to help this team win football games. I'll give my heart and soul whenever I step on that field and even when I'm on the sidelines," he tells GQ's NFL Kick-Off issue. "And at the end of the day, that's really all you can ask of someone."

When asked if being left-handed will affect the Jets' offense, Tebow laughs. "There isn't too much I can do about that," he says.

Greene, who was accompanied by an unidentified male companion, recently shared her fitness secrets with Us Weekly. "I think you have to change it up so you don't get bored," she said at NYLON magazine's August issue party in Hollywood July 31. "My friend the other day was like, 'I just got this Groupon for paddle boarding! So we're going to go do that. It's a really good workout and I'm a water person."

The actress -- whose new movie, Apparition, is in theaters August 24 -- also dropped hints about what fans can expect in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

"Everyone has been wanting to see Renesmee being born and the interaction with her, so everyone is going to get to see a little bit of that," she said of the half-mortal, half-vampire baby born to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's characters.

As for her own character, Alice Cullen, "it's a lot of the same thing with her, being that supportive rock for Bella and Edward and not really choosing sides" Greene told Us. "Then, you know, we always throw in a little fight sequence. Alice always has a very graceful, very fun fight sequence, so we'll see that."

While her action roles force her to do some serious training, she scales back when she's in between movies and told ELLE UK, "I just can't make it part of my daily life. I go to the gym when I have to, and if I have to bulk up or slim down for a film, I will. I've recently got back into exercising four times a week. I run for half an hour at a time but never outdoors as I don't exercise in public. My gym's in my garage at home."

She keeps a (mostly) healthy diet: Whether she is on set, using the Sunfare at-home delivery service, or cooking for herself, Beckinsale keeps it healthy. A typical day for her involves eggs or oatmeal for breakfast, a chicken or veggie wrap for lunch, and fish and veggies for dinner. Jennie Garth's sudden slimdown raised a few eyebrows earlier this week, but the Eleventh Victim actress insists she's perfectly healthy.

According to Garth, 40, her recent weight loss is a result of her March split with Peter Facinelli, 38, her husband of 11 years and father to her three daughters, Luca, 15, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5.

"I've been certainly going through a transitional time in my life and I think anybody who has been through something like what I'm going through, and have been going through for the past couple years, can definitely relate that your body changes with your emotional state of mind sometimes," she told ET Canada August 8. "I think a lot of women can relate to that."

Garth, who romanced HGTV star Antonio Ballatore post-divorce, added that she's trying to encourage her girls to eat healthier, too.

"There's lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. We have so many fruits at our ranch where we've been living, so eating healthy, especially with three girls, body image is something that I try to set a good example for them," Garth explained.

"Every one of my girls is a different size and shape and I want them to be comfortable in their own skin and be healthy-minded as well as physically."

Garth has been focused on her fitness, and in May, she tweeted that her trainer "made me flip a ginormous tractor tire over. Like 50 times. I feel like Mr. T."

Despite her tinier frame, a source tells Us Weekly that Garth "doesn't look too skinny in person. . .She looks like the old Jennie."

One example of junk-food-loving Simpson's dietary evolution? The one-time lover of Scotch and margaritas kicked back last Saturday night with a big glass of…water!

Back in late winter, the then-heavily pregnant star told ELLE mag abstaining from booze was a challenge at first.

According to a source, the star gained 70 pounds during her pregnancy.

In the September issue of Details, the 31-year-old actor says his notoriously grueling workouts are a thing of the past. "I haven't cycled in a long time," he reveals. "I don't run anymore. Do I take care of my body and take conditioning seriously? Yes. But exercising regularly doesn't fit the energy of the character I'm playing now," he says of An Enemy, in which he plays a man who seeks out his look-alike.

Gyllenhaal -- whose famous exes include Reese Witherspoon, 36, Kirsten Dunst, 30, and Taylor Swift, 22 -- says he's become a different man since he shot the police thriller End of Watch, directed by David Ayer. "Dave told me right off that this was going to affect my soul," Gyllenhaal explains. "'Friends are going to say, That's the Jake I've always known, but somewhere deep inside, you'll know otherwise.'"

The actor spent five months prepping for the 22-day shoot, which included "three nights a week in ride-alongs with cops," Gyllenhaal recalls. "[We had] fight training every morning at a Kenbo Karate dojo, and I got the sh-t kicked out of me. Then [we went to] the shooting range, shooting past each other's heads, with live ammo."

"There's a simulated fire in the movie, but Dave wanted us to feel what that's like, so he had us do a controlled burn," Gyllenhaal adds. One Saturday, the actor and his costar, Michael Pena, 36, "drove down to Orange County, dressed like firemen head-to-toe, and suddenly we're there just sitting in the middle of a burning building."

According to Gyllenhaal, the film -- in theaters September 28 -- inspired him to go with his gut.

"Every journey starts with fear. And I could say that's what I want to embrace now. A real experience," he tells Details. "And I want, overall, to trust what I know is right. There have been many times when I haven't. It's what I'm asking myself: Where is the line? What is the line? There's so much context, it can be almost impossible to find."

"For everyone calling me anorexic, I have a gluten and lactose allergy," Cyrus  said back in April. "It's not about weight -- it's about health. Gluten is crap anyway!" the "Can't Be Tamed" singer said of her avoidance of gluten, a protein found in wheat.

Cyrus was back in the news on Thursday after she was the target of a so-called 911 "swatting" prank call -- in which L.A. police rushed to her home after an impostor called in, claiming a possible invasion and/or kidnapping.

Good Morning America reports that officers surrounded Cyrus' home with guns drawn -- only to discovered that no one was home, with no stolen property. They concluded it was likely a "swatting" prank, in which jokesters provoke SWAT teams to break down the doors of innocent people. Cyrus has been in Philadelphia as Hemsworth shoots Paranoia.

Playing a prostitute in We're the Millers, Jennifer Aniston has thus far stayed frumpy and covered up as she shoots the dark comedy with Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts in Wilmington, North Carolina. That all changed on Thursday, when the actress was snapped on set showing off her Yoga-taut figure in a super-skimpy look: Tiny, ripped Daisy Duke jean shorts and a clingy, skin-tight white tank top. Aniston (whose man Justin Theroux has stayed behind in NYC) wore her dirty blonde locks in a casual up-do, and appeared to be wearing minimal makeup and just gold earrings, pendant necklace and a simple bracelet.

In the film, Sudeikis plays a pot dealer attempting to smuggle a huge shipment of marijuana across the country -- hiring Aniston's prostitute as his fake wife.

Before Thursday's eye-catching ensemble, Aniston has been seen in much less revealing downright dowdy attire for the film.

"First day of filming on We're The Millers," Aniston's star-struck costar Emma Roberts, 21, tweeted last month. "So excited I woke up an hour early which I can assure you never happens." On July 17, Roberts tweeted that working with Aniston is a "dream come true."

Before getting down to work on the film last month, Aniston and beau Theroux, 40, enjoyed an extended European vacation capped off by a sun-filled, five-day trip to the island of Capri -- which included a June 19 jaunt on a rented luxury yacht, where Aniston showed her famous body in a skimpy two piece.

Kathryn McCormick first wowed audiences as a finalist on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance in 2009 and now the star is taking her moves to the big screen as the female lead in Step Up Revolution, out now.

"I take three dance classes a day!" McCormick, 22, tells Us Weekly of her stay-in-shape plan when she isn't filming. But getting a lean physique doesn't require quite as much time. Here, the actress shares her top three novice-friendly advice to achieve a dancer's bod.

1. Adapt your diet. The Georgia native used to eat corndogs -- until a pal introduced her to vegetarianism. Now meat- and dairy-free, she credits her organic diet with keeping her 5-foot-5 body fueled for workouts: "When I eat better, I perform better," she tells Us.

2. Work your core. McCormick takes Pilates-inspired Gyrotonics to strengthen her abs: "It challenged my body," she says. "No more weak spots.

3. Start dancing! "Dance is a physical and mental workout," McCormick (who convinced boyfriend Kameron Waters to take a hip-hop dance class) advises trying beginner ballet: "Once you get your body moving, you'll see a difference."

(The Grammy winner seems to have posed for the shot late last year, when her Barney's Workshop opened up as a pop-up store in NYC for the holiday season.)

But Gaga (currently traveling the world for her concert tour) has more than just her svelte bod to show off: She just landed her very first film role as La Chameleon in director Robert Rodriguez's new film Machete Kills.

Working hard while soaking up the sun!

AnnaLynne McCord went to work on Tuesday with her fellow female castmates of 90210, and she evidently hasn't skipped a beat in maintaining her bikini body this summer.

On the Beverly Hills beach set, the modelesque star showed some serious skin in a skimpy black bikini with Brazilian-style bottoms and a teeny black halter top.

The 25-year-old actress opened up to Self last spring to dish on her non-traditional exercise regimen she used to keep her long and lean figure.

"I'm not the treadmill girl--I like to do things that are outdoorsy," she told the magazine, adding that kayaking is her favorite workout for her core and upper body. "And I just started doing Taekwando, where I work with a grand master, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu."

Although her bikini body may appear perfect, McCord knows the importance of embracing her flaws too. In May, she tweeted a photo of herself without makeup, blemishes and all.

"I woke up this morning and decided I'm over Hollywood's perfection requirement," she wrote alongside the pic. "To all my girls (and boys) who have ever been embarrassed by their skin! I salute you! I'm not perfect--and that's okay with me!"

But besides great accessories, one thing that Patridge always has on full display is her bikini-body confidence -- something that she never almost never has doubts about.

"I don't even think twice about wearing a swimsuit because it's always been a part of my lifestyle," she told Shape magazine last year, "but I have girlfriends who are so afraid to show their bodies. Among her favorite ways to get her sweat on: high-energy dance classes like Zumba. "My mom's best friend is a Zumba instructor and I loved it," she gushed. "I started with walking then went to jogging and then Zumba. I started [working with a trainer] and we did 30 minutes of circuit training so I didn't feel like I needed to be in the gym for two hours."

In addition to intense cardio sculpting sessions, Sparks, who had been dating fellow singer Jason Derulo since last August, had to makeover her diet as well. "I stop now when I'm full," she admitted. "I love food and I love to eat. My thing was, do I really need seconds or do I want it just because it tastes good?"

But leftovers and second helpings have proven to pay off for the season 6 American Idol champ, who admits that she got extremely emotional when shooting her first bikini cover.

"I could only dream having a cover and looking like that," she said. "I thought, 'I did it!' I had to walk back to my dressing room and I had to pull myself together because I was overwhelmed. I cried. I shed a little tear but I'm really happy with how it turned out."

Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts flaunted her stunning bikini bod on Thursday while vacationing with her family.

Roberts, 44, wore green halter top two-piece swimsuit while hanging out poolside at her Hawaii hotel. The flattering bikini showed off the star's flat tummy and long, lean legs.

But the Mirror, Mirror actress wasn't just lounging around working on her tan. The hands-on mom showed off her famous grin while playing her kids -- twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 7, and Henry, 5 -- in the pool. Hawaii seems to be a favorite vacation spot for Roberts and her husband Danny Moder, 43, as they frequently vacation there.

Later that weekend, Roberts opted to wear a cover-up to hit the beach with her children. In an interview with Vanity Fair in February, the actress revealed her children have no idea she's famous. 

"I was on a a crowded street, and somebody noticed me, and then another person noticed. Somebody said as we were walking past, 'Oh, that's Julia Roberts.' We all just kind of kept going, and then Finn said, 'Yeah, my mom's Julia Robinson,'" Roberts recalled. "That's what gives you perspective. It could be Robinson, it could be Johnson, because it has nothing to do with me as a person."

Now that she's lost 50 pounds, Jordin Sparks is looking -- and feeling! -- better than ever.

To celebrate her body makeover, the 22-year-old Sparkle actress posed in a  sexy blue bikini for the cover of Shape magazine's August issue.

"I just wanted to be healthy," she says of her slimdown. "I remember thinking, 'I'm in my prime. I should be happy and fit.' That was the moment I decided that changes needed to be made."

Making those dreams a reality was no easy feat for the season 6 American Idol champ. "I knew I had a long road ahead of me. I was barely working out and my diet was a mess," Sparks says. "I had to address when, what and how much I was eating."

2012 London Olympics: Meet Team USA's Gymnasts!

Ten athletes will be repping the USA this summer on the mats, the balance beam the uneven bars, and several more gymnast-related obstacles. Given the past success of the U.S. Olympic Women's Team (does 1996's Magnificent Seven ring a bell?), Us Weekly has pulled together the need-to-know tidbits on these incredibly muscular, super energetic athletes.

1. Gymnastics is only their day job…for now. Both McKayla Maroney, 16, and John Orozco, 19, hope to make it big in the entertainment industry once they hang up their leotards. While Maroney has hopes for the big screen ("I want to be a TV and movie actress! she shares), Orozco's talents lie in music. "I love to sing," he tells Us.

2. They don't just munch on lettuce and grilled chicken. According to the bio for 20-year-old Jake Dalton on TeamUSA.org's website, his favorite foods are pizza and ramen.

3. Gymnasts, they're just like Us! Jordyn Wieber, 17, is the first to dish on her packed-to-the-gills DVR. "My favorite shows are Glee and Grey's Anatomy. Oh, and I love the Kardashians!" she tells Us.

Take for example swimmer Ryan Lochte, who has been on eight-time gold medalist Michael Phelps' tail for years. But don't expect Lochte, 27, to be taking the back seat this time around. "I think overall, I'm just a lot older, smarter, and a better athlete than I was going into Beijing," the 6-foot-2 athlete, who swam four events at the Games and took home two gold (one earned as a group) and two bronze in China, tells Us Weekly. "I changed my diet and I started doing heavier weight lifting."

Another name to watch out for is up-and-comer gymnast Gabby Douglas, who makes her Olympic debut this year at age 16. But it was only two years ago that her gymnastics career really took off. In 2010, the teen moved from her hometown of Virginia Beach, VA to West Des Moines, IA, where she has been training with champion coach Liang Chow ever since. (Chow trained 2008 Olympic gold medalist and Dancing with the Stars contestant, Shawn Johnson.)

Jessica Simpson to Weight Watchers Group: "Let's Step It Up!"

Jessica Simpson won't be fighting her weight war alone.

The new mom, 32, is hoping to inspire her pals to slim down with her -- though it's safe to assume they don't have a $4 million Weight Watchers contract as an added incentive. "Just bought all the girls in my Weight Watchers group pedometers to track their steps," Simpson tweeted July 19. "10,000 steps a day = 5 miles! Let's step it up!"

Simpson's contract requires a 20- to 30-pound loss by the end of August or no payday, a source recently told Us Weekly. The Fashion Star mentor -- who welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew with her fiance, Eric Johnson, 32, May 1 -- is also breast-feeding and training with pro Harley Pasternak.

The 5-foot-3 Texas native decided to team up with Weight Watchers because "it focuses on healthy habits for the long-term (and I can still indulge in my guilty pleasures every now and then, too)," she explained via Facebook May 30. "I have actually gotten a group of friends together who are going to be doing it with me."

The months ahead won't be easy for Simpson, who a source says "always had issues with junk food." Still, the new mom is determined to lose weight, which is why she enlisted her mom, Tina, and a few pals to join the program and "help keep herself in check."

Michael Phelps may have been untouchable during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, but this time around, Ryan Lochte is here to give the gold medalist some stiff competition.

His training seems to already be paying off ahead of the upcoming London Summer Olympics, which kick off later this month. At the Olympic swim trials in June, Lochte defeated Phelps in the 400-meter individual medley (IM) finals -- it was the same race where he nabbed the bronze medal behind Phelps (gold) and Hungarian swimmer Laszlo Cseh (silver) four years ago in China.

But the 6-foot-2 chiseled champion, who holds six Olympic medals (three gold, two silver and one bronze) has a surprisingly laid-back attitude when it comes to beating his U.S. teammate's record and the sport of swimming.

"If I beat him, I beat him. If I don't, I don't," Lochte tells Us about competing against Phelps, 27, during this summer's Games. "I'm not going to hold a grudge on him or anything."

"I'm not going to give up anything for it," the athlete, who has already nabbed spokesmodel gigs for Gillette and AT&T, tells Men's Journal of not letting his sport define who he is. "I'm still going to be exactly who I am and have fun with life. There's a lot of swimmers out there who make swimming their life, but for me, it's just a sport that I do."

Farrell's beat-the-heat tactic may have cooled him off in Rio de Janeiro Wednesday, but it certainly didn't help onlookers any.

During a visit to the Brazilian city (he's in town to promote his upcoming Total Recall remake), the Irish star, 36, strolled shirtless alongside a couple of friends.

Last summer, the action star -- and reformed bad boy -- opened up to USA Today about his latest obsession: working out.

"I actually like the gym. I find peace in it. Which is . . . weird," he told the paper. "I never thought that would be me."

Added the actor, "I see these quotes, 'Working out for me is lifting a Carlsberg.' It was true at the time." But now, "Things have changed."

In addition to his starring role in Total Recall (alongside Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale), Farrell will appear on the big screen in Seven Psychopaths, a thriller, later this year.

Michael Phelps will take his last lap at this summer's London Olympics, but his legacy -- and his sculpted body -- will be far from forgotten.

At 6-foot-4, the 16-time medalist has gone from a skinny mini teen to a statuesque grown man. "It's the whole package: the Speedo, the goggles, the cap. It makes me feel like a superhero!" he tells Us Weekly of his most recognized uniform.

Since bringing home a whopping eight gold medals at the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008, Phelps has had his fare share of non-swimming headline-making moments. In early 2009, he was suspended from competitive swimming after being caught smoking marijuana -- a moment he tells Us Weekly was "the lowest point in my career."

"After 2008, I knew deep down inside I wanted to [swim], but I just didn't want to put in the work," the 27-year-old athlete tells Us of his party fouls while living the high life. "There were times when I just wouldn't come to practice and it didn't excite me."

But this time around, Phelps is in it to win it -- if not on the boards, then for his own personal goals.

"Once I hang my suit up I want to be able to look back and say I've done everything I can in my career -- whether that's having fifty gold medals or having sixteen total medals," the Baltimore, Maryland native tells Us. "If I can say I've done everything I've wanted, I think that's really all that matters."
